Stacey Michaels BA, BEd, OCT
Stacey Michaels brings over 20 years of teaching experience to Elevate Tutoring, with a background in private schools and as an ABA Senior Therapist specializing in children with Autism. She holds a Bachelor of Education from York University and has expertise in learning challenges such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, and more. Stacey is trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach and is committed to ongoing professional growth. She has completed many workshops and seminars on the Science of Reading, various LDs, Executive Functioning and Assessments with Growing Success.
Stacey partners with teachers and parents to design tailored learning plans that support each student's growth. She is dedicated to helping students not only achieve academic success but also develop the skills and confidence to navigate challenges throughout their educational journey.
Lisa Silver BEd, MEd, OCT, Special Education Specialist
Lisa Silver brings extensive experience to Elevate Tutoring, combining her private practice with classroom teaching and small group facilitation. She holds a Bachelor of Education from McGill, Special Education Specialist qualifications, and certifications in Reading and Writing from York University. Lisa completed a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology from OISE and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, Self Reg, Collaborative Problem Solving, and Strengthening Executive Skills.
With a focus on supporting diverse learners, Lisa serves as an advocate, consultant, and remedial program developer. Her personalized approach empowers students to reach their full potential, while collaborating with teachers and parents to ensure effective home/school partnerships.
